Founder & Lead Planner of Emily Caroline Events — based in the heart of New Orleans
My love for events started early. Growing up, I watched my “Southern Living” mother, Rose Marie, effortlessly host everything from Sunday dinners to bridal showers. She was and still is the queen of hospitality —gracious, detail-oriented, and always the last one to sit down at her own party. She taught me that hosting is an art form, and more importantly, that the real magic happens in how you make people feel. That lesson stayed with me, and today, it’s at the heart of everything I do.
With over eight years of professional experience in the wedding and events world, I specialize in planning celebrations that are deeply personal, beautifully styled, and thoughtfully executed. Emily Caroline Events was born out of a desire to help couples feel seen, supported, and genuinely celebrated — whether they’re planning a grand New Orleans soirée or an intimate backyard gathering.

At the core of my business is a deep commitment to inclusivity. I believe that all love stories deserve to be honored and elevated, and I’m proud to create safe, welcoming spaces for couples of every background, culture, gender, and orientation. I approach every event with an open heart, a listening ear, and a strong belief that your wedding should feel like a reflection of you, not anyone else’s expectations.
Sustainability is another cornerstone of my planning philosophy. From supporting local vendors and repurposing florals to minimizing waste through intentional design choices, I’m passionate about planning with purpose. Beautiful events don’t need to come at the expense of our planet, and I love helping my clients find that balance.
When I’m not building timelines or fluffing veils, you can usually find me planning a themed party for my daughter Elliott (who believes every celebration should include confetti and a dress code) or wandering the streets of New Orleans for inspiration. I carry this city’s rhythm, resilience, and sense of celebration with me into every event I plan.
